How do I book a coaching session?

No. If you are unsure which session is right for you, we can help you choose based on your experience, discipline, and goals.

Coaching Sessions

Are coaching sessions one-on-one?
Yes. Coaching sessions are designed to be focused and personalized so you can get direct feedback, clear instruction, and practical adjustments tailored to your driving.

What happens during a coaching session?
Each session focuses on the areas most relevant to your development. Depending on the program, that may include racing lines, braking technique, throttle control, drift technique, racecraft, telemetry review, onboard analysis, or setup guidance.

Can sessions be tailored to my car and track?
Yes. Sessions can be adjusted to fit your platform, car, track, and driver goals when appropriate.

What sims do you coach?
Kyoto Racing School currently supports iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, RaceRoom, CARX, and other supported platforms depending on the session type.

Platforms

Do I need a specific wheel or simulator setup?
No special high-end setup is required to begin. A stable, working sim setup is enough to start, although better hardware can help with consistency and feedback

Skill Level

Do I need prior experience?
No. Some sessions are designed for beginners building fundamentals, while others are built for intermediate and advanced drivers looking for deeper technical development.

Is Kyoto Racing School only for race drivers?
No. Coaching can support racing, driver development, and drifting depending on the program and your goals.

Is sim racing beneficial to real-world driving?
Yes! Sim racing can be very beneficial to real-world driving. It helps teach the fundamentals of vehicle control, braking, spacing, and awareness, and those skills can carry over into real driving. In some situations, what you learn in simulation can even help you react more safely and confidently in an emergency.

How long are coaching sessions?
Session length depends on the program you choose. Current sessions range from about 30 minutes to 120 minutes.

Are spots limited?
Yes. Session availability is limited to keep coaching focused and personalized.

Can I reschedule a session?
Rescheduling requests should be made as early as possible. Final scheduling and availability depend on the calendar and booking terms provided at the time of contact.
